Who we are
Melanie Phyllis Photo and Magenta Flute Photography have been working weddings together since 2022 and are excited to bring you a new chapter in wedding planning magic.

If you believe in a little magic & sparkle, you’re in the right place! I’ve been capturing weddings for 8 years and to say it’s my passion is an understatement. I love to create light & and use flash to add a timeless vibe! I love to capture soft, dreamy and romantic portraits you can hang on your wall for a lifetime. These moments go by so quickly and I want you to relive that emotion and beauty through classic forever images.
I have hosted photography workshops, coached and mentored other photographers. I love sharing my passion through teaching. When I’m not capturing your magical wedding or editing I’m hanging out with my 6 children. When they are sleeping I’m watching a corny drama on Netflix with a glass of wine or sitting outside by the fire (weather dependent of course). I love a good charcuterie board while hanging with my husband and family.

I’m just an 80s kid at heart. As a PCVS grad, I’ve always been involved in various art forms from a young age and love to use photography as the connecting force between them all. 2024 will be the third year I’ve been photographing weddings. I love shooting weddings and connecting with couples to help bring their beautiful day to life. I’m thrilled to be able to help fill a gap in the Peterborough area by bringing a new show to town!
When I’m not photographing weddings, I love to take pictures of the night sky. I spend my (clear) summer nights chasing the milky way and northern lights! Otherwise I’m soaking up the time with my two boys ♡♡ If you’re a parent as well you know what a thief time is!
Fun facts!
•I’m travel obsessed. I actually lived in England for a time and met my husband there. We now live in Norwood with our two boys.
•My favourite genre of music is new wave, give me The Cure, Blondie or New Order any day!
•My favourite colour is holo aka magical silvery rainbows.
